Family Enrichment and Counselling Service Inc is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and managed by an Executive Director.
Our Team
Executive Director - Leentje Deleuil, MSc, BbA
Leentje joined the Family Enrichment and Counselling Service Team in Fredericton in February 2019. Leentje is a highly experienced, dedicated, multilingual leader with a huge experience in both private and non profit sector where she acquired valuable experience in human resources, labour relations, training and development and networking. She is skilled at identifying, evaluating and responding to needs of an organization and strives to excel. Executive Assistant - Paula Poirier Paula has been working at Family Enrichment since September 2005. She is an Honours graduate of the Atlantic Business College. She has completed advanced training in Emotion Focused Therapy for Couples, as well as training in Gottman Couples Therapy, working with survivors of sexual violence, the treatment of depression and anxiety, stress management and cognitive behavioural interventions for emotional eating. She particularly enjoys helping people work through major life transitions by helping them access their own strengths and resources. Licensed Clinical Psychologist - Tom McAvity, Lic. Psychologist Tom offer mental health counselling dealing with depression, anxiety, anger, stress management, hypertension, PTSD, and addictions. Tom’s specialty is mindfulness. |
Counsellor - Noelle McHugh, MSW, RSW
Noelle McHugh has been a social worker for the past 35 years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Saint Thomas University in 1983 and a Master of Social Work degree from Carleton University in 1985. Noelle has an interest and expertise in working with older teens and adults who have mental health and addiction issues including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, past childhood abuse, domestic violence, traumatic events, low self esteem, and stress due to a lack of work life balance. She does individual, couple and family counselling.
Counsellor - Bobby Ross, BA, M.Ed, CCC
Bobby Ross specializes in counselling adolescents and in issues related to trauma such as PTSD. Bobby also provides counselling to individuals of all ages. Bobby supervises clinical interns from the M.Ed. program at UNB
Counsellor - Sara Vikse-Brenton, MSc (Psych), CCC, LCT
Sara started as a casual counsellor with Family Enrichment in 2012 and joined the staff full time in 2017. Sara works with youth, adults, and couples with a variety of concerns including but not limited to, depression; anxiety; relationships and family violence. She works from a strengths-based approach, utilizing mindfulness techniques and solution-focused therapy. Sara facilitates the Changing Tides program for women who live or have lived in aggressive relationships.
Counsellor - Anne Caverhill, MSW
Anne Caverhill specializes in grief counselling to individuals of all ages. Anne also facilitates a grief support group. Anne has a great deal of experience dealing with terminally ill clients and their families and with families trying to determine arrangements for aging parents.

Counsellor - Alexander (Sandy) Gordon, MSW, RSW
Alexander (Sandy) Gordon has worked as a contractor at Family Enrichment since 2002. Sandy also provides individual, couples, and family counselling. He specializes in men’s anger management and domestic violence issues. Before Family Enrichment, Sandy worked for 26 years with the provincial government in child welfare programs, primarily child protection.
Sandy is committed to helping clients make sense of their lives and find positive solutions to situations of personal conflict and discouragement.
Counsellor - Jocelyn Anderson, MSW,RSW
Jocelyn Anderson (she/they) is a registered social worker who provides counselling to adolescents and adults. In her work at Family Enrichment, she draws on her 5+ years of experience in working with individuals who are seeking support for anxiety, depression, anger, and grief. She particularly enjoys helping people to draw on their internal strengths and gain positive coping skills.
Jocelyn received her Bachelor and Master of Social Work at Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario. New to the province, she is excited to call New Brunswick home.

Board President - Bruce McClary
Bruce is an Information Technology Programmer/Analyst Instructor at NBCC- Fredericton Campus.
He joined the Board of Family Enrichment in January 2016 and was appointed Chair in September
2017. Bruce believes in the high quality counselling Family Enrichment provides to thousands of
clients every year. - Being an active member of the Board is Bruce’s way to give back to the community.
Board Vice-President - Mike Ryan, BA, LLB, BSW
Mike joined the Family Enrichment board of Directors in October 2016. He is the Vice-President of the
Board. He plays an active role in the John Howard Society of Fredericton and Capital Region Mental
Health and Addictions Association. He is co-coordinator for the Fredericton Housing First Services
and Street Outreach Program. His office is located in the Men’s Shelter (St. John House)
65 Brunswick St. Mike’s goal is helping Fredericton’s Homeless find and maintain affordable housing.
Treasurer - Tyler Szo, BBA, CPA
Tyler, originally from Harvey Station, completed his accounting designation in 2016 and has sat on numerous boards in Fredericton. He came to Family Enrichment in June of 2018. Being the Treasurer allows Tyler to use his skill set to give back to the community through the wonderful organization Family Enrichment is.
Secretary - Amanda Nason
Amanda Nason joined the Family Enrichment board of Directors as Secretary in October 2018. She currently works for the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labor as a Workers’ Advocate. She also volunteer as a Crisis Intervener and trainer for CHIMO Helpline. Mental wellness is something that is so important and near and dear to her. It is a passion of hers to be able to offer words of encouragement and a listening ear to those in need. She is proud to be a part of an organization that puts mental health at the forefront.
Director - Jessica LeBrun, R.S.W.
Jessica is a Clinical Coordinator of a Child and Youth Team through the Integrated Service Delivery framework at Horizon Health Network. She completed her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Moncton in 2001 and is a member in good standing with the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers since 2002.
She has been a Family Enrichment board member for 8 years, first as an ex-officio member through her position at Social Development from 2012 to 2017 and now as a regular board director from 2017 to present. She believes in the values of Family Enrichment and is proud to serve her community by helping ensure the continuous development and flourishing of this much needed agency, of its services and of its competent and dedicated staff.
Through her experience of helping children and families, Jessica is passionate about access to quality services focused on helping individuals and families navigate the many stresses that life can bring. She is a military spouse and a mom and understands how busy life can get and how high the expectations we have of ourselves can be; she encourages everyone to reach out for help when things get overwhelming.
Director - Ashley Ricketts, BBA
Ashley, originally from Saint John, is currently a CPA Candidate and came to the board in January of 2016 as Treasurer. After a leave of absence to complete her accounting designation, she rejoined in December of 2019 as a Director. Family Enrichment has provided so much support for the community and sitting on the Board is one way Ashley is able to give back.
Director - Gabrielle Lee
Gabrielle joined the Family Enrichment board as an ex officio member in September 2019. Gabrielle is a Clinical Social Worker in Child Welfare at the Department of Social Development. She works with many children and families who greatly benefit from the quality counselling service that are offered by the dedicated staff at Family Enrichment.
