- Family Enrichment and Counselling Service is a not-for-profit counselling agency not associated with the Medicare System. The fees we charge for services are calculated to cover our cost of doing business.
What is the cost of a session? How long is each session?
- Counselling sessions typically run 50 minutes in length. The fees per session are:
- Individual counselling with a counsellor: $150.00
- Individual counselling with a psychologist: $190.00
- Couple’s counselling: $165.00
- Family Counselling: $165.00
How do I book my first appointment?
- To book a first appointment, please fill out the form in our Book An Appointment page or call 506-458-8211, ext. 220. Someone from the Intake Team will contact you within three business days to discuss booking options with you.
Can you direct-bill my insurance company?
- We are able to direct bill most Blue Cross plans (including VAC) and NIHB. For other insurance plans you will be required to pay the fee upfront and submit your receipt to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Please check your specific plan to verify that it covers counselling/therapy with a Psychologist, Registered Social Worker (RSW, MSW), Licensed Counselling Therapist (LCT, LCT-C) or Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). It is your responsibility to ensure your sessions are covered and the limits of your coverage.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
- For those clients without insurance coverage who cannot afford our full fee, Family Enrichment offers a limited number of subsidized sessions based on family size and all sources of income. What is your cancellation policy?
- Clients are able to cancel or reschedule an appointment without charge as long as Reception has been notified at least 24 hours in advance.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment will be billed a $50.00 fee.
- A No-show for your scheduled appointment will be billed a $50.00 fee.
Do you offer diagnoses or assessments?
- Family Enrichment does not offer diagnoses or assessments of any kind.
Is your building accessible?
- Family Enrichment is located on the ground floor of the building. The doors to our building and all offices are wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair or walker.
